[Financial News] Former baseball player Choo Shin-soo is drawing attention after revealing his mansion in Texas, USA.
Choo Shin-soo appeared as a guest with his wife, Ha Won-mi, on the tvN STORY program "What Are You Leaving It For?" aired on the 3rd and shared an update on his life.
On the show, when Lee Young-ja asked about the mansion he owns in Texas, Choo replied, "The lot alone is about 5,500 pyeong, and it has seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms."
Inside the mansion are a swimming pool, a movie theater, a PC room, a private training facility, a jogging track, and a pond. It also includes a museum displaying Choo's career records and memorabilia from his playing days.
Choo said, "I couldn't find a house I liked, so after searching for three years, I decided to build one for my family." He added, "My favorite space is the Lego room." He also said, "There are no full-time staff living on site, and the house is maintained by a professional company once a week," and "monthly maintenance costs exceed 10 million won," surprising Lee Young-ja.
Choo entered Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2001 and played for the Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, and Texas Rangers. After retiring from active play two years ago, he is now working for SSG Landers as an adviser to the owner and head of player development.
