"I Missed You So Much"... Kim Soo-hyun Gives First Greeting After 1 Year and 4 Months Away From Activities

[Financial News] Actor Kim Soo-hyun, 38, who was cleared by police over allegations including sexual abuse of a minor, has delivered his first public greeting outside an official event in about 1 year and 4 months.
According to the official social media accounts of Philippine fashion brand BENCH on the 2nd, Kim Soo-hyun said in a video released that day, "I really missed you so much," and "I am happy to greet you through BENCH after such a long time."
After finishing his greeting, Kim Soo-hyun waved and smiled. His face appeared more gaunt than before, drawing attention.
This video is his first official greeting in about 1 year and 4 months, after he suspended activities following allegations over his private life involving the late Kim Sae-ron.
Last year, the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron filed a complaint against Kim Soo-hyun for violating the Child Welfare Act and other charges, claiming that she had dated him since she was a minor. Based on recordings released by Kim Se-ui, head of Garo Sero Institute, the family also alleged that sexual abuse had taken place.
In response, Kim Soo-hyun's side denied all allegations, saying the recordings had been forged with artificial intelligence, and took legal action. The Seoul Seongdong Police Station recently decided not to refer the case to prosecutors, citing insufficient evidence.
Ko Sang-rok, Kim Soo-hyun's legal representative, said, "Following the recent indictment of Kim Se-ui on detention, Kim Soo-hyun has now also been cleared of the core grooming allegation that had most severely constrained him." He added, "Above all, I hope this decision will help dispel the misunderstandings surrounding Kim Soo-hyun one by one, and that more people will come to view him based on objectively verified facts rather than a distorted image."
Kim Se-ui was indicted and detained in June on charges including spreading false information and is currently in custody. Prosecutors also applied charges that he manipulated the late woman's voice with AI to create false claims.
Kim Soo-hyun is reportedly reviewing offers for more than 40 upcoming projects across television dramas and films.
