Iranian Authorities Warn Voice Files Could Reveal Khamenei's Location

[Financial News]  Iranian authorities are reportedly raising concerns that voice files could expose the location of Supreme Leader Moztaba Khamenei to intelligence agencies.
On the 2nd, local time, Al-Mashari, a daily newspaper affiliated with Tehran City Hall, reported on its Telegram channel that security concerns were behind the long-standing absence of public audio recordings of the Supreme Leader's voice.
Al-Mashari cited several major technical pathways through which a single voice recording could reveal the Supreme Leader's location and condition, including a unique acoustic signature, power-grid interference frequencies, the fingerprint of the recording device, ambient equipment noise at the site, and biometric and physical information about the speaker.
According to the newspaper, every enclosed space has its own acoustic characteristics. By analyzing echoes and reflections left in a recording, investigators can obtain precise information about the structure and shape of the room where the speaker is located.
It also said that subtle frequency noise from electrical wiring can be used not only to determine the exact date and time of a recording, but also to identify the specific power-grid area connected to the recording location.
Microphones and other equipment used for recording leave unique traces in the file. For example, smartphone microphones weaken low frequencies, while low-cost components produce distinctive high-frequency harmonic distortion, creating a fingerprint that can identify the device.
Ambient noise from technical equipment at the recording site, such as ventilation systems, generators and cooling devices, is considered an important clue for intelligence agencies trying to identify the facility.
It added that analyzing vocal resonance, breathing patterns and the spacing between words can also reveal the speaker's current health condition, heart rate and stress levels.
The newspaper said that for these combined reasons, Iranian security authorities are extremely wary of any leak of the Supreme Leader's voice data and are limiting the release of voice messages to maintain security.
