President Lee Meets Buenos Aires Mayor..."Thank You for Your Consideration for Korean Residents"

At the hotel in Buenos Aires, Lee told Macri, "More than 20,000 Korean residents live in Buenos Aires, and I have heard that you have been very considerate in many ways."
Macri said the Korean community has been actively integrated into Argentine society. He added, "Korean culture is everywhere on the streets, and more and more people are looking for Korean food." He also noted, "Interest in K-pop is growing among younger people. It is remarkable to see Korean soft power strengthening."
Lee expressed his gratitude, noting that the city of Buenos Aires has been helping secure venues for Korean cultural performances.
Macri said, "I understand that just a little while ago, the First Lady and my wife watched a cultural performance that combined tango and Arirang." He went on to explain that Buenos Aires has more than 300 theaters and more than 400 productions are being staged there. "K-pop groups also come to Buenos Aires and perform often, and those concerts always receive a strong response," he said.
Showers continued in the area that day, and the two also exchanged views on climate change.
Lee said, "It seems to rain and then clear up quickly. These days, climate change seems to be making sudden downpours especially more severe." Macri replied, "I think this is something all cities are concerned about," adding, "We are seeing many record-breaking rainfall events, so we are preparing extensively for them."
When Lee said, "Argentina has a large agricultural sector, so climate change is likely to have a significant impact," Macri responded, "But change is not always bad. Climate change can also bring positive effects." He added, "For example, areas that were once too dry for farming are becoming more fertile as rainfall increases, and we are realizing that new changes are not necessarily all bad."
Lee then said, "Good things can become bad, and bad things can become good," and Macri replied, "Like both sides of a coin, our lives always seem to have two sides."
