HanYuwon Adds Two More Duty-Free Stores for SMEs, Promotes K-Products

[Financial News] Korea Small and Medium Venture Business Distribution Center said on the 29th that it had opened two additional duty-free stores for SME products at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2.
The fifth and sixth stores of 'Panpan Duty Free,' located near Gate 281 on the east side and Gate 218 on the west side of Terminal 2, are centered on K-beauty, K-fashion, K-food and K-lifestyle products.
The agency also set up product experience zones and photo zones to give consumers a positive experience with SME products.
HanYuwon expects the new stores to serve as export test beds, allowing SMEs seeking to enter global markets to gauge reactions from overseas consumers in advance.
SMEs that want to open stores can apply through the 'Panpan Dae-ro' website.
Eligible applicants are consumer goods manufacturers that can operate in duty-free shops. Companies selected for support will be given a basic one-year lease and receive assistance with sales staff and dedicated display space.
Lee Tae-sik, CEO of HanYuwon, said, "As overseas consumers' preference for K-products continues to rise on the back of the Korean Wave, we will help more outstanding SMEs enter overseas markets through policy duty-free stores."
