South Gyeongsang Province topped 37 C from the morning... Gimhae and Miryang also under 'extreme heat emergency warning' [Weather]

[Financial News] South Gyeongsang Province has been gripped by relentless heat day and night, with overnight lows exceeding 29 C and temperatures climbing above 37 C from the morning. As heat warnings for Gimhae and Miryang were upgraded to the highest-level extreme heat emergency warning, the number of such warnings in the province rose to five.
According to the Busan Regional Meteorological Administration on the 29th, Yangsan recorded 37.6 C as of 11 a.m., the highest temperature in South Gyeongsang Province. Other areas also exceeded 33 C from the morning, including Gimhae at 34.5 C, Hapcheon County at 34.4 C, Miryang at 34.1 C, and Bukchangwon at 33.8 C.
At 11 a.m. that day, the meteorological agency upgraded the heat warnings for Gimhae and Miryang to extreme heat emergency warnings. As a result, the number of areas under the highest-level warning in South Gyeongsang Province increased to five, including the existing areas of Yangsan, Uiryeong, and Changnyeong County. Heat warnings or advisories remain in effect for the other areas.
An extreme heat emergency warning is the highest-level heat alert issued when extreme heat is expected, with the perceived temperature reaching 38 C or higher, or the maximum temperature rising to 39 C or above.
The heat did not ease even at night. From 6 p.m. the previous day to 6 a.m. that morning, Yangsan recorded the highest overnight low at 29.1 C, followed by Changwon at 27.8 C and Gimhae at 27.7 C.
A tropical night is a phenomenon in which the overnight low stays at 25 C or higher. Yangsan and Geoje have seen tropical nights for 13 consecutive days since the 16th.
