[Financial News] Roh Tae-moon, CEO of Samsung Electronics and head of the DX Division, has drawn attention after promoting the company's new foldable smartphone by dancing to a viral routine circulating on social networking service (SNS) platforms.
On the 23rd, digital creator Mini posted a video on Instagram showing Roh following the choreography for ATEEZ's new song 'Bad.'
The video shows Roh on stage with Mini, performing the song's signature move, known as the 'let's all die' part. After finishing the routine, Roh energized the crowd by shouting, "If you don't use Samsung Galaxy, it's bad."
Internet users reacted with comments such as, "Your sense of rhythm is amazing, sir," "Since it's CEO Roh, it's 'No-san,'" and "His voice is so loud, which is great."
'Bad' is ATEEZ's latest song. The so-called 'let's all die' part performed by Roh became widely popular after member San, whose real name is Choi San, drew attention with intense eye acting and choreography in a white tank top that involved moving his chest up and down. The related fancam video has recorded about 1.9 million views in just three weeks on the basis of SBS Inkigayo, and the clip has spread as a meme across YouTube and SNS, inspiring countless parodies.
Meanwhile, at a briefing with domestic reporters in London on the 22nd local time, immediately after the 'Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026' event, Roh expressed confidence, saying, "The technology and customer understanding we have built over the past seven years cannot be caught up overnight." He added, "The more intense the competition becomes, the more we will lead the global market by setting the standard one step ahead."
He went on to say that Samsung is ahead in understanding what consumers expect and want, innovating hardware, and preparing for the development of mobile AI. "Because of that experience, our competitiveness in delivering products will continue to be maintained," he said. "This is the first year we are unveiling a complete lineup of three foldable smartphones together, and with the Fold8 adding new demand, this year's Z series is aiming for the highest sales ever among foldables."
