BLACKPINK's LISA Earned 17.7 Billion Won Through the North and Central America World Cup, Ranking Fourth Among Singers Worldwide

[Financial News] An overseas report said that LISA, a member of the group BLACKPINK, is estimated to have earned more than 17 billion won through the 2026 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) North and Central America World Cup.
On the 21st local time, the British outlet The Sun reported, citing analysis by brand and culture expert Nick Ede, that LISA is estimated to have earned about 9 million pounds, or about 17.7 billion won, during this World Cup through major global sponsorship deals and local performances.
That ranks fourth among singers who took part in events related to this World Cup, behind Shakira, who earned 15 million pounds, or about 29.5 billion won, and Justin Bieber and Timothée Chalamet, who each earned 12 million pounds, or about 23.6 billion won.
Ede explained, "Global brands spare no expense, spending tens of millions of dollars to bring in celebrities who can capture the attention of billions of viewers around the world." He added, "Taking part in a World Cup campaign can draw worldwide attention, so it has an enormous impact that goes beyond starring in a blockbuster film or releasing a mega-hit album."
He said of LISA, "LISA and her group BLACKPINK brought one of the world's most loyal fan bases directly into a mainstream sports tournament." He added, "This World Cup further amplified LISA's global stature and introduced her to sports fans." He also noted that it "once again proved LISA's commercial value to global brands."
Earlier, on the 12th local time, LISA performed at the opening ceremony at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, singing "Goals," a track from the official World Cup album, alongside Brazilian singer Anitta and Nigerian singer Lema. LISA is the second K-pop singer to deliver a live performance on a World Cup opening ceremony stage, following Jungkook of BTS. She is also the first female group member to do so.
