Man in His 20s Arrested and Sent to Prosecutors for Luring Teenager to Motel and Raping Them in Chat Room Meeting

[Financial News] A man in his 20s who lured a minor he met through an online chat room to a motel and raped the victim has been handed over to prosecutors while in custody.
According to police on the 23rd, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency sent a man in his 20s, identified only as A, to prosecutors on the 20th while he was detained on charges of statutory rape of a minor.
A is accused of raping a minor victim at a motel in Oryu-dong, Guro District, Seoul, on the morning of the 11th.
The Seoul Guro Police Station arrested A at the scene and later transferred the case to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
A reportedly approached the victim in an online open chat room and then lured the victim to the motel.
A police official said, "Because the victim is a child, we cannot disclose specific details."
