Samsung Electronics Named J.D. Power's Most Awarded Brand

The categories in which it ranked first were French door refrigerators, top-freezer/bottom-refrigerator models, side-by-side refrigerators, clothes dryers, over-the-range microwaves and dishwashers. Among them, Samsung Electronics' top-freezer/bottom-refrigerator model received the highest score in every evaluation item in its category, ranking first for the fifth consecutive year.
In the French door refrigerator category, it received the highest scores in five areas, including ease of use and design. In the side-by-side refrigerator category, it also ranked first after earning top marks in five areas, including durability and reliability.
The company was credited with maximizing space efficiency and convenience by tailoring its products to U.S. consumers, who value practicality, through features such as Zero Clearance technology, which creates a built-in look with just 4 mm of space on each side, and an ice maker that offers four types of ice.
It also took first place in the clothes dryer category after receiving top scores in all seven evaluation items. It won praise from U.S. consumers for features such as Steam Sanitize+, which removes up to 95% of fine pollen.
Michael McDermott, an executive in charge of CE at Samsung Electronics' U.S. subsidiary, said, "Taking first place in this survey across six products is the result of Samsung appliances being recognized for their unmatched quality and convenience in the demanding U.S. market." He added, "We will continue to lead the premium market in North America."
