Trump Attends Repatriation Ceremony for Fallen U.S. Troops, Claims Americans Do Not Oppose War

[Financial News] U.S. President Donald Trump attended a ceremony for the return and repatriation of the remains of U.S. service members killed in the Iran war.
On the 22nd (local time), Trump attended the ceremony at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware and saluted as each casket carrying the bodies of the fallen was unloaded from a U.S. Air Force Boeing C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft. Along with Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine also attended the ceremony.
The four service members who returned that day were Second Lt. Tyler Pihan, Sgt. Michael Swinton, Sgt. Angel Rampersad, and Pvt. Isabella Gonzalez, all of whom belonged to the U.S. Army. According to CNN, three of them were killed in an Iranian attack on a U.S. base in Jordan, while the remaining one died while detonating unexploded ordnance from an Iranian drone shot down in northern Iraq.
This was the third time Trump has attended a repatriation ceremony for U.S. service members killed in the Iran war.
Before leaving for Dover Air Force Base, he told reporters at Joint Base Andrews near Washington, D.C. that "attending a repatriation ceremony is one of the hardest things a president has to do." He added, "The service members who returned today were truly great heroes," and said, "They all were very firm in saying that 'Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons.'"
Trump also claimed, without identifying the poll, that even amid strong public opposition to the Iran war, "a poll that just came out clearly shows that Americans do not want high gasoline prices, but they do not oppose war."
