"They said it could stop bullets"...Tesla Cybertruck split in two after collision

[Financial News] A major chain-reaction crash in Maryland has drawn attention after photos showed Tesla's electric pickup truck, the Cybertruck, split in two.
According to local media outlets including WTOP, FOX5 DC and People on the 20th local time, a moving truck lost control and triggered a major accident at an intersection in Silver Spring, Maryland, on the afternoon of the 18th, hitting 10 vehicles in succession.
Ten people, including three children, suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital. Fortunately, there were no deaths or serious injuries.
What drew the most attention at the scene, however, was the severely damaged Tesla Cybertruck. In the released photos, the passenger cabin and rear cargo bed were completely separated, exposing orange high-voltage wiring and internal cables between the two halves of the vehicle.
The Cybertruck has been marketed as a model with exceptional durability, thanks to its special stainless-steel exoskeleton structure, which Tesla has said can withstand bullets and strong impacts.
But with the vehicle now shown to have split apart so easily in this crash, long-standing concerns about its safety and structural design have resurfaced. Critics have argued that an overly rigid exoskeleton may fail to absorb impact like a crumple zone.
Meanwhile, local police said they are investigating why the moving truck lost control and the exact circumstances under which the Cybertruck's body separated.
