"Kim Byung-gi, Accused in 13 Cases, Faces Additional Lawsuit From Former Aides Over Whistleblower Protection Act Violation and Intimidation"

[Financial News] Kim Byung-gi, an independent politician under police investigation over 13 allegations of misconduct, including allegations of soliciting jobs for his children, has been sued again by a former aide.
According to police on the 21st, A, a former aide to Kim, filed a complaint against him the previous day with Seoul Dongjak Police Station on charges of violating the Whistleblower Protection Act and intimidation.
The complaint says Kim threatened A by revealing A's identity on social networking service (SNS) and hinting at a criminal complaint.
In December last year, Kim mentioned on SNS the companies and positions of former aides who had reported the allegations surrounding him to the media.
He also posted a screenshot of a Telegram group chat in which some of the aides' real names were exposed, claiming that they were "posing as whistleblowers with crafty rhetoric."
A reported allegations involving Kim's spouse, including suspicions of receiving money and valuables, to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) in November last year. A later underwent questioning as a witness in connection with the 13 allegations against Kim.
The allegations against Kim include 13 separate claims, such as "preferential admission and job placement for his second son," "obstructing employment for former aides," and "receiving money for nominations." The Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is currently investigating the case.
