The writer, identified as A, said, "I waited in line for 80 minutes and finally got in, but pregnant women were allowed in right away." A added, "There are already so many benefits for pregnant women, and I don't like the idea of people carrying around due-date papers just to get all of them."
A went on to say, "So many pregnant women kept coming in one after another that it felt like there were more than I expected." A also said, "I think more than 20 pregnant women went in within five minutes."
Netizens who saw the post offered mixed reactions.
Those defending the policy said, "It was made by Sungsimdang," "Pregnant women can't be expected to wait in the blazing sun for an hour. Be kind," and "They're just taking advantage of a benefit offered by a private company, so there's no reason to criticize them."

Meanwhile, Sungsimdang has been offering a 5% discount on all products and fast-track entry for pregnant women and one accompanying person since 2024.
At first, anyone with a pregnancy badge could receive the benefit, but as cases of abuse increased after people bought the badges secondhand, the bakery reportedly changed its policy to verify maternity booklets and ID cards.
