Ships Hit in Succession Near the Strait of Hormuz

Ships have been hit one after another around the Strait of Hormuz.
Al Jazeera reported on the 20th local time that two tankers operated by a Greek shipping company came under attack by projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz. It also said a merchant vessel was struck by an unidentified projectile near the Port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to Al Jazeera, two tankers owned by the Greek tanker company Dynacom Tankers were hit by projectiles, and one of them, the Malta-flagged tanker Cabo Maleas, caught fire.
Immediately after the fire broke out, the crew abandoned the ship and were all rescued by a nearby tugboat.
The tanker had been anchored in the Persian Gulf after spending months off the coast of Saudi Arabia before reporting a fire north of Khozmar, Oman. It was later found to have been struck on the 2nd while exiting the Strait of Hormuz with its automatic identification system (AIS) turned off.
Near the Port of Fujairah in the UAE, another vessel was hit and left stranded.
The crew reported to United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) that an unidentified projectile had struck the vessel and damaged its steering gear. The crew was unharmed, but the ship was confirmed to be stranded 17 nautical miles, or about 31.5 kilometers, east of Dibba near the Port of Fujairah.
