Trump: "Netanyahu Will Not Be Arrested"

U.S. President Donald Trump said on the 20th local time that Benjamin Netanyahu will not be arrested in the United States.
On Truth Social, Trump said that Netanyahu "will not be arrested while staying in the United States in any way, shape or form."
His remarks came in response to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who had earlier said Netanyahu could be arrested if he arrived in New York in September for the UNGA.
Mamdani, one of the Democratic presidential contenders, told The New York Times in an interview on the 18th that Netanyahu could be arrested because he is wanted on an ICC arrest warrant over alleged war crimes.
Trump's pledge of immunity on the day has made it unlikely that Netanyahu would be arrested in New York. Foreign affairs are exclusively handled by the Federal Government of the United States.
