Iran's Health Ministry Says At Least 38 Killed as U.S. Strikes Resume

[Financial News] Iran said on the 17th local time that at least 38 people have been killed and more than 400 injured in U.S. airstrikes since the resumption of armed conflict with the United States. U.S. airstrikes resumed on the 22nd of last month.
Hossein Kermanpour, spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Health, said on his X account that "the number of people injured by U.S. attacks has exceeded 400, and 38 of our people have been martyred."
According to Kermanpour, three of the dead were women and one was a minor under the age of 18. Among the injured, 22 were women and nine were minors.
He added that 47 injured people are currently hospitalized and receiving treatment.
Iran has accused the United States of carrying out indiscriminate attacks on civilian residential areas. In a recent U.S. airstrike, shells landed near a children's cancer hospital in the southwestern city of Ahvaz, prompting patients and their families to evacuate in an emergency.
