Tesla's Autonomous Driving FSD v14 Lite Launches in Korea, Applied to U.S.-Made Model 3 and Model Y

[Financial News] Tesla's autonomous driving system, "Full Self-Driving (FSD) supervised v14 Lite," has been launched in the Korean market. First introduced in North America at the end of June, the feature is now officially available in Korea, making it the second market in the world to receive it.
Tesla Korea said it will officially launch "FSD supervised v14 Lite" in Korea on the 10th.
The v14 Lite version is designed to run smoothly even on vehicles launched as long as five years ago, not just new cars. It can be applied through software updates.
It is said to deliver more natural and refined movements in everyday driving situations such as lane changes, entering intersections, and navigating curves. Even in complex road environments, it is expected to provide a higher level of convenience for drivers through smooth and intuitive responses.
The v14 Lite rollout starting today will be available only to FSD-enabled Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y vehicles produced in the United States.
The update will be rolled out sequentially by vehicle, so the timing of installation may vary depending on the car.
However, Tesla Korea stressed that "FSD is not a fully autonomous driving feature and may not perfectly recognize all obstacles, roads, and traffic conditions," adding that "drivers must always remain attentive and be ready to take control immediately."
Still, Tesla Korea emphasized that the official launch of v14 Lite in Korea once again demonstrates how important the Korean market is to Tesla.
Tesla Korea has also continued to expand its domestic infrastructure investment.
In the second half of this year, it is preparing to open a new store in Anseong, and it is steadily strengthening its charging infrastructure, including expanding its service center network and entering highway rest stop Superchargers.
