[Financial News] The 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival opens today. For the second year in a row, Song Seung-hwan will serve as the overall director of the opening ceremony, which is expected to raise the theme of "the coexistence of humanoid robots and humans." Actor Kang Seok-woo will host the event. The red carpet will be brightened by the opening film's director Yuan Heping, award-winning actor Josh Ho, global icon award recipient Fan Bingbing, and French actress Isabelle Huppert, who will receive the lifetime achievement award.
Leading directors and actors from Korea's film industry will also attend in large numbers. Confirmed guests include director Lee Joon-ik of "The King and the Clown," director Lee Sang-min of "Salmokji: Whispering Water," director Kwak Kyung-taek of "My Dad Is a Zombie," actors Yoo Jae-myung, Oh Dal-su and Lee Si-eon, director Kim Min-ha of "Teaching Practice: Idiot Girls and School Ghost 2," and director Chung Ji-young and actress Yeom Hye-ran of "My Name."
The red carpet for the 30th BIFAN opening ceremony will begin at 5:20 p.m. at the lawn plaza of Bucheon City Hall. The ceremony itself will be held at 7 p.m. in the Concert Hall of Bucheon Art Center. The opening event, including the red carpet, will be streamed live on Naver CHZZK.
Kim Haneul and Cho Hye-jung will also visit Bucheon

Actress Kim Haneul will attend the 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival's "A Visiting Local Movie Theater - Ditto" GV event, which will be held at 1 p.m. on the 4th at Megabox Bucheon Starfield City Theater 1, and will meet with audiences in a meaningful encounter.
"A Visiting Local Movie Theater" is a free film screening program that travels to neighborhoods across the region. Through this GV session, Kim will share stories about the work, as well as her reflections on revisiting "Ditto" after all these years.
Cho Hye-jung, whose film "Focus" was officially invited to the Korean feature competition section of "Bucheon Choice Korean," will walk the opening ceremony red carpet and then meet audiences directly through a talk with viewers for "Focus."
"Bucheon Choice Korean" is one of BIFAN's signature competition sections, where Korean feature films with distinctive worlds and fresh genre experiments compete.
"Focus" is a mystery horror film about Eun-ho, a day laborer photographer who dreams of success, and the strange events that unfold around the friend who stays by his side. Cho Hye-jung plays Woo-jung, Eun-ho's girlfriend. Woo-jung remains by Eun-ho's side as he wavers amid chaos and jumps into the center of a bizarre incident involving a camera.
In May last year, Cho Hye-jung walked the pink carpet after being officially invited to the 8th Cannes International Series Festival through the drama "Fasting Love." She also recently appeared in "Yumi's Cells Season 3" as the youngest writer, Na-hee, bringing bright energy to the series.
