[Financial News] President Lee Jae-myung will host a luncheon for former President Moon Jae-in at Yeongbin Hall in Cheong Wa Dae on the 1st. It will be the first time since taking office that Lee has met a former president for lunch at Cheong Wa Dae.
According to Cheong Wa Dae, the menu will include bibimbap, croaker soup, grilled braised short ribs of Korean beef, buckwheat and napa cabbage pancakes, and tilefish pancakes. For dessert, assorted rice cakes and fruit punch will be served.
Cheong Wa Dae explained that the menu was designed around a summer health meal for Moon, who enjoys seafood and fish, and as a luncheon to welcome him back to Cheong Wa Dae after his retirement. It added that symbolic dishes representing the 'harmony' and 'unity' both former and current presidents have consistently emphasized were also included.

In political circles, attention is focused on whether Lee will deliver a message of unity, given concerns that the race for party leadership is heating up ahead of the Democratic Party of Korea's party convention.
Meanwhile, Lee is also scheduled to host a dinner later in the evening for the parliamentary leadership team, including Democratic Party floor leader Han Byung-do.
