President Lee Calls Lee Jae-yong and Choi Tae-won "National Heroes"

[Financial News] President Lee Jae-myung said on the 29th that Samsung Electronics and SK hynix's massive semiconductor investments were "a truly moving moment. I dare say that a new history for the Republic of Korea has begun."
Presiding over the public briefing on the three major mega-projects for a great leap forward in the Republic of Korea at the Yeongbingwan State Guest House that day, Lee said, "We are now facing a new future that we could never have imagined. Today will be the starting point."
Lee also said, "On behalf of our business leaders, I would like to call these two men national heroes or people’s heroes," adding, "They have clearly proven that companies may operate for profit, but they can also act for the future of the national community."
He added, "They could have gone abroad for better conditions, but on behalf of the people, I would like to offer my thanks for making such a difficult national decision and such a difficult commitment for our people and for the future of the Republic of Korea."
