[Financial News]  BBC reported on the 26th that many foreign nationals were confirmed dead in the magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes that struck Venezuela on the 24th local time.
Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said that three Spanish nationals have been confirmed dead so far, and 99 people remain missing.
Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced that one man and one woman from the country had died.
Chinese media outlets, citing the Embassy of Venezuela, reported that two Chinese nationals were killed.
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said an Italian-Venezuelan had died, adding that it is difficult to track missing people because there is a large Italian community in the area.
Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported, citing the foreign ministry, that nine Portuguese nationals were also killed.
So far, at least 235 people have died and about 4,300 have been injured in the earthquake.
According to BBC, a woman was rescued from the rubble of a building on the day.
CNN reported that rescue operations are being rushed ahead of the 'golden hour,' the critical window for saving trapped survivors.
Local state television reported that personnel from Chile, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico and Switzerland had just arrived to support rescue and search efforts.
Chile said it had sent two Chilean Air Force aircraft carrying 30 firefighters.
CNN said the United States, which earlier this year detained and transferred Nicolas Maduro, the President of Venezuela, is also sending aid and relief supplies from around the world, while military personnel are carrying out rescue operations on the ground.
