On the 23rd, Han disposed of all three of her properties: an apartment in Jamsil, Seoul, an officetel in Yeoksam-dong, and a country house in Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi Province. She kept only a house in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. According to the Prime Minister's Office confirmation hearing preparation team, the total pre-tax profit from the three property sales came to 2.09537 billion won, and 500 million won of that was donated to an international relief and development organization.
Han apologized for owning multiple homes, but said she had tried to sell them after entering public service as Minister of SMEs and Startups. "I am sorry for anything that did not meet the public's expectations," she said. "But after taking public office, I worked to dispose of my multiple homes. In the case of the Yangpyeong house, I first listed it for about 700 million won, but after media reports, I sold it after receiving an offer of 500 million won."
Kim then took aim at President Lee Jae-myung's comparison of multiple-home owners to a "demon," saying sarcastically, "Maybe she escaped being a demon by President Lee's standards, but by the public's standards, she is a power demon."
