SK hynix's voluntary turnover rate last year was just 0.5%.
According to the Sustainability Report released by SK hynix on the 25th, the company's voluntary turnover rate at its domestic operations stood at 0.5% last year. During the same period, the overall involuntary turnover rate was 0.4%, bringing total turnover to 0.9%. By age group, employees aged 30 to 49 had the lowest voluntary turnover rate at 0.4%. The result appears to reflect expectations of large bonus payouts and a prolonged semiconductor supercycle. Starting last year, SK hynix will pay Profit Sharing (PS) equal to 10% of operating profit for the next 10 years.
Hiring was also active. The company recruited 3,201 new employees, 3.4 times the previous year's 942. The starting monthly salary for new hires in technical and administrative roles with a bachelor's degree was 4.505 million won. The number of male employees who took spouse childbirth leave rose by 297 from the previous year to 1,091 last year, up from 794.
SK hynix was also found to have created 20.3247 trillion won in social value last year. That was up 69.4% from a year earlier. Its indirect economic contribution, including employment, dividends and taxes, came to 20.3561 trillion won, rising 69.8% in a year. Tax contributions in particular surged 168.2% from 3.5545 trillion won to 9.5329 trillion won.
Meanwhile, SK Innovation disclosed that it will transfer its 50% stake in Airbus A319 No. 2, worth about 24.9 billion won, to SK hynix, reflecting changes in actual business use among affiliates. The move appears to be part of a restructuring of ownership, as SK hynix has recently increased its use of private aircraft amid the expansion of its overseas business, including in the United States.
