[Financial News] Police confirmed that they have identified a woman who blocked access for officials from sports organizations under the KSOC in front of the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul Songpa District, where rallies have continued since the shortage of ballots in the June 3 local elections, and have asked her to appear for questioning.
The Seoul Songpa Police Station said on the 24th that it had identified a woman in her 30s, referred to as A, who blocked the passage of sports organization officials in front of the gymnasium entrance on the 16th, and plans to summon her on charges including obstruction of business.
At the time, the KSOC side had tried to enter an office inside the venue for preparations for international competitions and accounting work. At the scene, protesters, political figures, and sports officials reportedly discussed allowing entry under certain conditions, but A stood guard in front of the door and blocked passage, preventing any actual entry.
A reportedly stayed at the scene, arguing that preservation measures for ballots and ballot boxes stored inside the venue should come first. Police are reviewing whether her actions constituted obstruction of business, based on secured video footage, evidence collected at the scene, and statements from those involved.
Meanwhile, A was reportedly at the scene draped in the Stars and Stripes. Some conservative online communities also shared posts referring to her as the so-called 'Old Dark.'
