[Financial News] A circuit breaker was triggered on the KOSPI on the 23rd after the index plunged, halting trading for 20 minutes.
According to Korea Exchange (KRX), the temporary suspension of trading on the Korea Exchange Main Board began at around 2:33 p.m. that day.
A circuit breaker is triggered if the KOSPI falls by more than 8% from the previous session for one minute. At the time it was triggered, the KOSPI was trading at 9,114.55, down 8.07% from the previous trading day.
