[The Financial News] The KOSPI turned lower during trading on the 19th and fell below the 9,000 mark. The KOSDAQ also slipped below 1,000.

The sharp reversal in the indices appears to reflect delays in the start of follow-up talks between the United States and Iran.
According to the Korea Exchange (KRX), the KOSPI was down 1.27% from the previous session at 8,948.66 as of 1 p.m. on the day.
The KOSPI opened at 9,288.89, up 225.05 points, or 2.48%, from the previous session. It widened its gains in the morning and even rose to 9,385.59, but turned lower in the afternoon.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ was down 4.70% at 953.88, remaining below the 1,000 level.
