[Financial News, New York = Lee Byung-chul, correspondent]Kevin Warsh, chairman of the Federal Reserve System (Fed), said at a press briefing on the 17th (local time) that the Fed will establish five task forces as part of its reform efforts. He emphasized that "these tasks will become a core pillar of future monetary policy operations."

The task forces will focus on reviewing the Fed's policy communication methods, management of its $6.7 trillion balance sheet, the system for collecting and using economic data, changes in productivity and the labor market driven by the spread of AI, and the overhaul of inflation measurement and analysis.

Warsh said, "The schedule for the task forces will vary depending on the urgency of each issue," adding, "I hope their work will be completed by the end of the year."
