The stock market is now shifting from the so-called Magnificent Seven (M7) era to an era of “FAB 10,” which adds frontier artificial intelligence (AI) and SpaceX, according to one analysis.
Yahoo Finance reported on the 16th (local time), citing a research note from Vanda Research, that FAB 10 — which adds frontier AI companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic, as well as Elon Musk’s SpaceX, to the existing M7 — has become the force driving market trends.
Vanda said, “SpaceX has now joined the ranks of the world’s most important companies,” adding, “The M7 has led the past several years, but with SpaceX’s initial public offering (IPO), investors are now beginning to focus on FAB 10.” It explained that FAB 10 is “the M7 plus SpaceX, along with OpenAI and Anthropic, which are expected to go public in the future,” and that “these 10 companies represent the future of AI and technology that will define the next decade.”
In other words, the M7 — NVIDIA, Alphabet Inc., Apple, Microsoft (MS), Amazon.com, Inc., Tesla, Inc., and Meta Platforms Inc. — plus SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI in FAB 10 are now expected to dominate the stock market.
SpaceX’s market capitalization reached $2.818 trillion intraday on the day, surpassing Amazon.com, Inc. at $2.645 trillion. It also came close to Microsoft’s $2.906 trillion, rising to fifth place by market cap.
The combined market capitalization of Musk’s SpaceX and Tesla, Inc. ($1.52 trillion) came to $4.338 trillion, roughly matching Apple’s $4.41 trillion.
Thanks to SpaceX’s strong IPO performance, Anthropic and OpenAI, which filed their IPO applications on the 1st and 6th respectively, have also seen expectations rise.
During fundraising rounds, Anthropic was valued at $965 billion, while OpenAI was valued at $852 billion.
