[Financial News] Attention is growing as leaks continue to surface about new colors and design details for the iPhone 18 Pro series, which is expected to be unveiled this fall. In particular, excitement is rising as Apple is reportedly preparing a new color called "Dark Cherry."
According to 9to5Mac, PhoneArena, and other IT outlets on the 17th, recently released photos of an iPhone 18 Pro dummy model showed four colors: Black, Silver, Dark Cherry, and Light Blue.
Among them, Dark Cherry is expected to be a deep wine-red shade and could emerge as a signature color, following the iPhone 17 Pro's "Cosmic Orange." Apple has fueled replacement demand by introducing differentiated signature colors for its Pro models each year, including "Sierra Blue" for the iPhone 13 Pro, "Deep Purple" for the iPhone 14 Pro, "Natural Titanium" for the iPhone 15 Pro, and "Cosmic Orange" for the iPhone 17 Pro.
Cosmic Orange, in particular, became popular among men in their 40s who wanted to express their individuality and spending sensibilities, and it was even nicknamed "Cosmic Orange." Industry watchers are now paying close attention to whether Dark Cherry can repeat the success of previous signature colors.
The reported color lineup also matches earlier forecasts. Bloomberg reported in February that Apple was testing a "Deep Red" color for the iPhone 18 Pro. Then in April, additional reports suggested that a four-color combination of Light Blue, Dark Cherry, Silver, and Black was likely, making the new product's color palette more concrete.
Apple typically unveils its new iPhones in September, and the iPhone 18 series is also expected to be announced this fall.
