[Financial News] Amid the recent boom in AI semiconductors, SK hynix and Samsung Electronics, both posting record-high earnings, were named the companies job seekers most want to join.
On the 9th, according to JobKorea's 2026 Company Preference Report, which was published by the AI- and data-based HR tech platform, SK hynix ranked first among companies job seekers would want to start working for immediately, followed by Samsung Electronics in second place.
Naver, Toss, Hyundai Motor Company, Amorepacific, Google, Kakao, Nexon and HYBE followed, rounding out the top 10. The main reasons job seekers preferred these companies were salary and bonuses (32%), employee benefits (15%) and opportunities for job growth (13%).
JobKorea published the report after analyzing a survey of 3,287 job seekers and behavioral data from job seekers. In a similar report released five years ago, IT and platform companies dominated the upper ranks, with Kakao taking first place. This year, however, semiconductor and manufacturing companies moved up in the rankings.
In response, JobKorea explained, "Interest among job seekers, which had centered on IT and platform companies, has shifted toward expectations for growth prospects and stability in manufacturing, including semiconductors."
