[The Financial News] "By combining AI with Hyundai's mobility expertise, we will transform the future. Now is Hyundai's time. (Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA)"Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, met with Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun and other senior executives at Hyundai Motor Group headquarters in Yangjae-dong, Seocho District, Seoul, on the 8th.
Huang arrived at the headquarters at around 1:31 p.m., earlier than scheduled, and greeted Chung with a hug as soon as they met.
He also warmly embraced Min-woo Park, head of Hyundai Motor and Kia's AVP Division, who previously worked at NVIDIA.
At the meeting, senior executives including Hyundai Motor Group Vice Chairman Jaehoon Chang, President Min-woo Park, and President Eunsook Jin, who oversees ICT at Hyundai Motor and Kia, welcomed Huang and NVIDIA officials, including his eldest daughter, Madison Huang.
After meeting with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo earlier in the day, Huang visited Chung in the afternoon and later met Lee Hae-jin, chairman of Naver's board, continuing discussions on AI-related cooperation with major business leaders in South Korea.
Speaking to Hyundai Motor Group employees in the lobby of the Yangjae-dong headquarters, Huang said, "The next wave of AI is mobility and physical AI." He added, "Now is exactly Hyundai's time. Every field in which you have expertise will now be combined with AI. And at that moment, explosive change happens."
He also added a humorous touch, saying, "This is not a PC room. It is a much bigger 'bang'—a big bang. It is the great bang of the future. It is not a PC room, but an 'AI bang.' That is the future."
Huang praised Chung, calling him "an outstanding person" and saying, "It is an honor to be working together."
A day earlier, Huang had a surprise meeting with Chung at Woo Lae Oak, a naengmyeon restaurant in Jongno District, Seoul. He returned to Hyundai Motor Group headquarters the next day, where robots are deployed, and toured key facilities.

Three robots are installed in the lobby of Hyundai Motor Group headquarters: the watering robot Dal-i Gardener, the delivery robot DAL-e Delivery, and the security robot SPOT. They coexist naturally with employees.
As Huang toured the robots, which are seen as a symbolic step in Hyundai's efforts to lead physical AI, the visit also highlighted the symbolic nature of cooperation between the two sides in this field.
Chung explained the watering robot Dal-i Gardener, and Huang watched with interest.
