[Financial News] During his first stop in Korea, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang met e-sports pro gamer Faker, whose real name is Lee Sang-hyeok, from the League of Legends (LoL) scene. He said NVIDIA began with gaming, praised Korea's gaming culture and e-sports competitiveness, and announced that the new artificial intelligence (AI) PC platform, "RTX Spark," has entered production ahead of a planned launch this fall.
At the meeting on the afternoon of the 5th at T1 Base Camp Seoul in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Huang met with Faker and other T1 players and said, "Gaming was NVIDIA's starting point."
He also said, "Korea is the ideal market for e-sports," adding, "Korean gamers chose the best graphics processing unit (GPU) to win, and that was NVIDIA's GPU."
After standing and talking with Faker, Huang presented him with a GeForce RTX 5090 bearing his autograph. He also shook hands with fans who had come to the PC cafe and posed for commemorative photos with them one by one.
Huang also outlined plans to launch the AI PC platform "RTX Spark." He said, "For the past 40 years, PCs have basically used the same architecture," and added, "Three years ago, Microsoft and I decided to reinvent the PC."
Huang said, "Today's PC is very challenging and complex," and added, "At some point, the AI revolution began, AI was integrated into PCs, and I imagined what kind of computer would lead the next 40 years. The first announcement I made at COMPUTEX Taipei 2026 was a new PC line, a reinvention of the PC."
He continued, "We call this product 'RTX Spark,'" and said, "It is a completely new generation of PC lineup, and I believe this architecture will lead the AI era ahead." According to Huang, RTX Spark has entered production across PCs, laptops, and large workstations.
Meanwhile, Huang also personally handed out vouchers for the upcoming RTX Spark laptops to two PC cafe customers.
