According to industry sources on the 4th, Huang is expected to arrive at Gimpo International Airport on the afternoon of the 5th aboard a private jet. His Korea schedule is tightly packed. On the evening of his first day, Huang will have a pork belly dinner meeting at a restaurant in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun, and NAVER Chairman Lee Hae-jin. During his visit to Korea in October last year, Huang also met Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Chung at a chicken restaurant in Samseong-dong, Seoul, where they discussed cooperation agendas.
Cooperation with KRAFTON... humanoid robot talks likely
During his visit, Huang is also reported to have scheduled meetings with KRAFTON Chairman Chang Byung-gyu, Chief AI Officer Lee Kang-wook, and Jang Tae-seok, who oversees the PUBG: Battlegrounds IP franchise. The talks are expected to focus on collaboration in humanoid robots and gaming.
Huang's meeting with KRAFTON comes about a year after KRAFTON CEO Changhan Kim visited NVIDIA's headquarters in California in April last year. At the time, Kim met with Huang to discuss expanding cooperation in robotics, including embodied humanoid robots. This latest meeting is part of KRAFTON's recent push into AI and robotics. In October last year, KRAFTON declared its transition into an AI-first company and announced plans to invest about 100 billion won to build a GPU cluster based on NVIDIA HGX B300 chips. In February, it also established the AI robotics company Ludo Robotics in San Francisco. In addition, KRAFTON signed an MOU with Hanwha Aerospace in March to jointly develop core Physical AI technologies and establish a Joint Venture, laying out a plan to expand its AI and simulation technologies, built in gaming, into the defense industry.
He will also throw the first pitch at Jamsil Baseball Stadium on the 7th in a Doosan uniform
Huang is also expected to meet NCSoft CEO Kim Taek-jin in Seoul on the 7th. That afternoon, he will take the mound at Doosan Bears' home game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. Huang will throw the ceremonial first pitch wearing a Doosan uniform with the number 93, which refers to NVIDIA's founding year of 1993. Doosan owner Park Jeong-won will step into the batter's box for the ceremonial first hit wearing the number 96, which represents Doosan's founding year of 1896, in a symbolic display of the two companies' Physical AI partnership. Doosan Robotics is jointly building NVIDIA's next-generation robot execution software, the Agentic Robot Operating System.
He is then scheduled to hold a closed-door meeting on the morning of the 8th at The Shilla Seoul with leaders of domestic AI and robotics startups. Upstage, Nota, Vessel AI, and other major Korean AI and robotics startups are expected to attend.
That same day, he is also coordinating visits to the AI Institute of Seoul National University and the Robotics Laboratory, as well as stops at the headquarters of LG Group, Hyundai Motor Group, and NAVER. Huang is expected to leave late in the afternoon of the 8th or on the morning of the 9th after completing all of his Korea schedule.
