[Financial News] The United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) said it intercepted all of Iran's missile and drone attacks, and stressed that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) claim that it struck U.S. bases was also false.
\r\n
\r\nOn the 2nd (local time), USCENTCOM said in a statement that "U.S. forces successfully repelled multiple ballistic missiles and drones launched by Iran in the Middle East."
\r\n
\r\nAccording to USCENTCOM, Iran fired several ballistic missiles toward regional countries, including Kuwait and Bahrain. However, they did not reach their targets.
\r\n
\r\nTwo missiles fired toward Kuwait fell during flight or broke apart in the air, while three missiles headed for Bahrain were intercepted by U.S. and Bahraini air defenses.
\r\n
\r\nThe U.S. military also said it shot down three Iranian suicide attack drones launched toward civilian vessels.
\r\n
\r\nUSCENTCOM also said it carried out a precision strike in self-defense on a military ground control facility located on Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz in southern Iran.
\r\n
\r\nNo U.S. casualties were reported.
In a later statement, USCENTCOM rejected the IRGC's claim that it had "attacked the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet Headquarters in Bahrain and U.S. air bases in the region with missiles and drones," calling it "false."
\r\n
\r\nIt added that "all attacks Iran launched against the United States failed" and emphasized that "the U.S. military remains vigilant even amid the ongoing ceasefire and is prepared to respond to any threat."
