[The Financial News] Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, who is visiting Korea this week, is expected to meet with at least nine domestic partners during his stay. Beyond simply meeting business leaders, he is also scheduled for a wide range of activities, including visits to company headquarters, throwing the ceremonial first pitch at a pro baseball game, and appearing on a variety show.
According to the IT industry on the 2nd, Huang, who arrives in Korea on the evening of the 4th, is expected to meet Chey Tae-won, chairman of SK Group, Koo Kwang-mo, chairman of LG Group, and Lee Hae-jin, chairman of Naver, in Seongsu-dong on the evening of the 5th. A samgyeopsal restaurant in Seongsu-dong is seen as the most likely venue.
He has also confirmed meetings with Chung Eui-sun, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, and Kim Taek-jin, CEO of NCSoft.
On the 7th, he is expected to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Doosan Bears home game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. Park Jeong-won, chairman of Doosan Group, is likely to attend the game to meet with Huang.
On the 8th, he is scheduled to hold a closed-door meeting at The Shilla Seoul with heads of domestic robotics and AI startups, including Upstage, Nota, and Vessel AI. Huang is expected to discuss cooperation in the AI sector with the startup leaders that day.
On the same day, Naver is also coordinating with Huang’s side over a possible visit to Naver 1784 in Bundang District, Seongnam. A meeting with Lee Hae-jin and Naver CEO Soo Yeon Choi is likely to take place.
Huang is also set to appear on tvN’s talk show "You Quiz on the Block."
Meanwhile, a privately made website has emerged that tracks in real time the stock prices of listed companies linked to Huang’s itinerary in Korea.
