\r\n[The Financial News] As the visit to South Korea by Jensen Huang, CEO of global AI chip leader NVIDIA, draws near, attention is intensifying across the domestic industrial sector and the stock market. A private website that tracks Huang's expected itinerary and the stock movements of the so-called 'Jensen Huang beneficiary stocks' in real time has also appeared, underscoring the market's strong interest.
According to the IT and securities industries on the 2nd, a website called 'Jensen Huang's Footsteps,' created by a user identified only by the nickname 'Jun' and believed to be an individual developer, has drawn attention after surpassing 15,000 cumulative visitors.
The site automatically collects reports from major domestic media outlets and visualizes Huang's expected destinations and meeting schedules on a map.
It is especially drawing investors' attention because it provides real-time price changes for major listed companies grouped as so-called 'Jensen Huang-related stocks,' including Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, Naver, LG Electronics, and Doosan Robotics, based on the date his visit was confirmed.
To avoid fueling speculation, the site displays a disclaimer pop-up when accessed, stating, "We do not recommend buying or selling any specific stock, and we are not responsible for any investment results." The developer also noted on the site that the schedule and itinerary provided are estimates based on media reports, not official announcements.
After wrapping up his schedule at COMPUTEX Taipei 2026 in Taiwan, Huang is expected to arrive in the afternoon of the 4th and begin a full slate of business engagements from the 5th. The event drawing the most market attention is his meeting with the heads of major Korean conglomerates.
According to business circles, Huang is expected to meet major group chairmen over samgyeopsal and soju-beer cocktails, known as 'so-maek,' at restaurants in areas such as Seongsu-dong, Seoul, on the 5th. He is also expected to visit key sites of each company and flesh out cooperation in AI and robotics technologies.
The reason the business community and the stock market are reacting so sensitively to Huang's itinerary is the so-called 'learning effect' from the past. During his visit to South Korea in October last year, Huang held a 'Kkanbu meeting' at a chicken restaurant in Seoul with Lee Jae-yong and Chung Eui-sun, and shares of related companies later rose sharply and remained strong.
Securities analysts say this visit is likely to go beyond a simple social gathering and serve as a signal that a 'robotics and AI alliance' between Korean manufacturing and IT companies and NVIDIA is entering full swing. They are closely watching whether companies in the related value chain will benefit.
