[Financial News] Ahead of NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's visit to Korea early next month, the local stock market has begun searching for so-called second-round Kkanbu meeting beneficiaries. Investors are focusing on who he will meet this time, and buying has concentrated on Physical AI and platform-related stocks.
According to the financial investment industry on the 30th, Huang is expected to visit Korea after attending NVIDIA's AI conference, GTC Taipei 2026, which will be held in Taiwan from the 1st to the 4th of next month. Business circles are strongly speculating about possible meetings with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin.
Huang visited Korea last October to attend the APEC CEO Summit in Gyeongju and held a Kkanbu meeting with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun. After that, Samsung Electronics gained on expectations of higher profit forecasts for memory semiconductors, while Hyundai Motor rose on momentum from Physical AI through Boston Dynamics.
Kyung-min Lee, a researcher at Daishin Securities, said, "Investors expect LG, Hyundai Motor, and Naver to strengthen their Physical AI and platform momentum through cooperation with NVIDIA," adding that "the AI investment theme is spreading from semiconductors to software, robotics, and platforms."
In fact, LG Electronics closed at 293,000 won on the previous day, hitting the daily upper limit of 29.93% on the main bourse. LG CNS also surged 29.91% that day and closed at the upper limit. Naver also rose more than 17% on the same day.
Stocks related to Hyundai Motor Group also showed broad strength. Hyundai Motor Company rose 8.27%, Hyundai Mobis gained 13.12%, and Kia advanced 3.65%, all ending higher. In the KOSDAQ market, robotics stocks were relatively strong. ROBOTIS climbed more than 11%, and Hyundai Movex rose 6.81%.
Kang Jin-hyeok, a senior researcher at Shinhan Securities, said, "Physical AI-related stocks surged on reports of Jensen Huang's visit to Korea early next month," explaining that "buying spread not only to the LG Group, which directly announced the meeting, but also to Hyundai Motor Group and robotics stocks."
Brokerage analysts also say market attention is shifting beyond simple AI semiconductors to which companies will join the NVIDIA ecosystem. Naver is seen as likely to expand ties with NVIDIA in AI agents and Sovereign AI platforms, while SK Group is drawing attention for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) and AI infrastructure. Hyundai Motor Group is expected to deepen its presence in robotics and mobility, and LG Group in industrial AI and data centers.
One industry source said, "The market is no longer just looking at NVIDIA graphics processing units, but at which companies will be incorporated into the NVIDIA ecosystem," adding that "if the Physical AI era fully takes hold, the valuation framework for robotics, mobility, and platform companies could change entirely."
