[The Financial News] A production team for an OTT drama is facing criticism after it was reported that the crew carried out disruptive filming by illegally attaching props to the exterior walls of a house and covering a CCTV camera.
According to JTBC's "Incident Chief" on the 28th, a resident identified as A, who lives in Daejeon Metropolitan City, said, "They were filming a drama in the alley in front of my house on the 18th," and added, "But the filming crew removed the CCTV notice and attachments on the wall without permission."
A said, "When I asked why, the crew apologized and left, saying they thought it was an empty house," and added, "But a few days later, I found that a plastic sheet had been placed over the CCTV camera."
After checking the CCTV footage from the home, A confirmed that a woman believed to be a member of the filming crew was seen covering the CCTV camera on the exterior wall without consent.
Meanwhile, A said he immediately reported the incident to the police, but was told it should be filed as a civil matter.
The production team reportedly left without properly restoring the site after finishing the filming schedule. In response, the crew told "Incident Chief" that the art team had covered the CCTV camera to match the work's period setting, and that they had intended to apologize to the affected resident and offer compensation.
