\r\nRecently, videos and posts titled 'How to Remove the Starbucks Logo from a Tumbler' have been circulating on social networking service (SNS) platforms and online communities. The posts are drawing strong attention from users who feel uncomfortable with visible logos.
In the released video, a detailed process is shown for removing the signature green Starbucks logo area from the tumbler using a remover and other tools. The uploader, identified as A, explained, "Nail remover and Magic Block can be bought at Daiso for 2,000 won."
A then added, "Just soak the Magic Block with nail remover and rub it off," and said, "It feels wasteful to throw it away and awkward to keep using it as is, but with this method, you can cleanly remove only the logo and keep using it."
He also said, "It's better for the environment and saves the tumbler too, so it's a win-win," while asking other users to share the related post.
The video was later reshared in another online community under the title "The Ultimate Starbucks Boycott," placing it at the center of controversy.
Among netizens who saw the post, reactions included, "Do you really have to go that far just to eat it?" and "Does removing the logo make it not Starbucks anymore?"
