[Financial News] Israeli media reported that Donald Trump, President of the United States, promised Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, that he would "completely dismantle" Iran's nuclear program.
On the 24th, Israeli media outlets including The Times of Israel quoted a senior Israeli official as saying that in a phone call the previous night, Trump made clear he would maintain a firm stance on the conditions he has long demanded in negotiations with Iran, including the complete dismantling of Iran's nuclear program and the removal of enriched uranium from the country. The official added that Trump also said he would not sign a final agreement with Iran unless those conditions were met.
The official also said that Netanyahu stressed he would retain the freedom to respond to threats on all fronts, including Lebanon, and that Trump supported that principle.
