[Financial News] President Lee Jae-myung said on the 24th that he was "deeply saddened" and expressed condolences over the large-scale casualties caused by a gas explosion at a coal mine in Shaanxi Province, China.
In a post on his X account, Lee wrote that he was "deeply saddened" by news of the large-scale casualties from the gas explosion at a coal mine in Shaanxi Province.
He added that he hoped the accident would be swiftly brought under control through the efforts of the Chinese government and the relevant authorities.
Lee said he prays for the repose of those who lost their lives in the accident and extends his deepest condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families and the people of China. He also added that he wishes all of the injured a speedy recovery.
Lee also posted the same message in Chinese on the same day.
