[Financial News] As the dispute over allegations that Democratic Party of Korea candidate Ha Jung-woo engaged in "stock parking" in the Busan Buk-gu-gap constituency by-election continued, Ha hit back at the pro-Han Dong-hoon camp, calling them "political prosecutors."
On the 19th, Ha Jung-woo said on social media, "I have held back long enough, and now I will say a few words," before describing the traits of political prosecutors.
He criticized them, saying, "They try to dig up and tear apart political rivals or opponents by any means necessary, without regard for time or place," and added, "That is the only thing political prosecutors know how to do, because it is the only world they know."
Earlier, Ha responded to attorney Hong Jong-gi, who raised questions about his stock holdings, pointing out that Hong is the head of the law firm affiliated with Han Dong-hoon and the former Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs under the Yoon Suk Yeol administration.
Ha said, "The problem is that even after taking off their prosecutor's robes, political prosecutors can hardly shake off their nasty and unpleasant habits," and added, "That is no exception for the famous former political prosecutor from Gangnam, Seoul, who suddenly appeared on the stage of the Busan Buk-gu-gap by-election," indirectly targeting Han.
He also pointed out, "It is hard to tell whether the campaign set up by that candidate is an election office or a private investigation agency," adding, "That is because they have no interest in Buk District, Busan's future."
Regarding the attacks against him, he pushed back, saying, "There is nothing but petty background checks and personal attacks aimed at the frontrunner," and asked, "Is that the law in their world?"
Finally, he said, "I, Ha Jung-woo, will think only about the future of Buk District," and added, "If you think about the future of Busan and Buk District, the answer is only Ha Jung-woo."
