NVIDIA’s Market Cap Reaches 8,573 Trillion Won, Surpassing Germany’s GDP

[Financial News] The market capitalization of NVIDIA Corporation, an artificial intelligence chipmaker, has surpassed Germany’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the largest economy in Europe.
The combined market value of the five largest U.S. IT companies was also larger than the GDP of Europe’s five biggest economies.
On the 16th, local time, Euronews reported, citing data from CompaniesMarketCap on the 14th, that NVIDIA Corporation’s market capitalization reached $5.7 trillion, or about 8,573 trillion won.
That figure exceeds the International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s projected 2026 GDP for Germany of $5.45 trillion.
Germany is the world’s third-largest economy after the United States, at $32.38 trillion, and China, at $20.58 trillion, and it is Europe’s largest economy.
NVIDIA’s market cap has already overtaken the economic size of Japan and the United Kingdom, and it is also larger than the combined GDP of the 19 smaller economies in the European Union (EU), which totals $5.02 trillion.
In the latest tally, Alphabet Inc., with a market cap of $4.784 trillion, and Apple Inc., with $4.355 trillion, also ranked above all European countries except Germany.
\r\nAlso, the combined market capitalization of the five largest U.S. IT companies came to $20.81 trillion, or about 31,280 trillion won, surpassing the combined GDP of Europe’s five largest economies, which stood at $18.14 trillion, or about 27,280 trillion won.
\r\nCompared with U.S. IT companies, European firms remain relatively small in market value.
\r\nAmong European companies, the Netherlands-based semiconductor manufacturer ASML Holding N.V. (ASML) has the largest market cap, at $610.69 billion, ranking 21st.
