Highs of 33 Degrees Expected Today as Early-Summer Heat Continues

Daytime temperatures are expected to rise above 30 degrees in most areas nationwide, and the gap between daytime and nighttime temperatures will be wide, especially in inland regions.
In some areas, the apparent temperature will exceed 31 degrees, so people should take care to protect their health from heat-related illnesses.
Morning lows will range from 11 to 18 degrees, while daytime highs will range from 25 to 33 degrees, both above seasonal norms.
Forecast morning lows and daytime highs for major cities include 18 to 31 degrees in Seoul, 16 to 29 degrees in Incheon, 16 to 30 degrees in Suwon, 15 to 31 degrees in Chuncheon, 17 to 30 degrees in Gangneung, 16 to 31 degrees in Cheongju, 15 to 31 degrees in Daejeon, 14 to 31 degrees in Jeonju, 15 to 31 degrees in Gwangju Metropolitan City, 13 to 33 degrees in Daegu, 14 to 25 degrees in Busan, and 16 to 24 degrees in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.
Fine dust levels are expected to range from good to moderate across all regions.
Waves will reach 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the nearshore waters of the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5 meters in the nearshore waters of the Yellow Sea. In the farther offshore waters within about 200 kilometers of the coast, wave heights are forecast at 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the Yellow Sea and South Sea.
