[Financial News] A woman in her 50s who chose to hike Bukhansan instead of going to work on a weekday morning has now been missing for nearly a month, and police and fire authorities are continuing their search.
According to police and fire authorities on the 13th, Seoul Songpa Police Station received a report from the family at around 11:28 a.m. on the 17th of last month saying, "I think my wife is missing," and has been searching for Kim, 52, ever since.
Kim's husband received a call from her workplace at around 9 a.m. on the day she disappeared, saying, "Your wife did not come to work." He then searched the area around their home with their son and other family members before reporting her missing to police. It was also reported that Kim left home without her mobile phone, credit cards, and other belongings.
Based on CCTV footage and other evidence, police traced Kim's movements on the day she disappeared. She left home by bicycle, parked it near Gangbyeon Station in Seoul's Gangbuk District, and continued on foot. She then transferred to the subway and arrived near Bukhansan in Gangbuk District. National park CCTV last captured her around noon that day hiking from near Doseonsa Temple toward Yongammun.
Since she was last seen heading toward Yongammun, there has been no confirmation of her descending the mountain or of any further movements.
As the disappearance enters its 27th day, police and fire authorities are carrying out intensive searches centered on Bukhansan, where Kim's last known movements were confirmed.
