[Financial News] Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Koo Yun-cheol said on the 13th that he plans to hold the South Korea-China Economy Ministers' Meeting in China within this year.
\r\nDeputy Prime Minister Koo said on social media that he had dinner with He Lifeng, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, in Incheon the previous day and exchanged views on recent economic issues, including the situation in the Middle East, as well as the direction of South Korea-China economic cooperation.
Koo also said that the two sides agreed to strengthen economic cooperation, focusing on advanced industries, supply chains, and the digital and green transition, and to accelerate follow-up negotiations on services and investment under the Korea-China Free Trade Agreement.
He added that he attended the president's meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Vice Premier He at the State Council earlier in the morning, and that he would continue to work closely with Bessent and He to deepen South Korea-U.S. and South Korea-China economic cooperation and build mutual trust.
