Prime Minister Kim orders close government monitoring of Samsung Electronics strike

\r\n[Financial News] Prime Minister Kim Min-seok instructed on the 13th that, regarding the Samsung Electronics strike, "the government will closely manage the situation at the government level, given the seriousness of its ripple effects on the national economy."
\r\nAt a meeting of relevant ministers on the strike held that day in the Prime Minister's office at Government Complex Seoul, Kim said, "We will actively support continued dialogue between labor and management so that it does not lead to a strike under any circumstances." He made the remarks while urging the government to do so.
\r\nKim received a report from the Minister of Employment and Labor and the First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on the outcome of mediation efforts that continued until dawn that day. He also discussed the government's response direction regarding the Samsung Electronics strike going forward.
