[Financial News] The detached house in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun District, Seoul, where the late Yoon Ki Joong, father of former President Yoon Suk Yeol and professor emeritus at Yonsei University, had lived, has entered auction proceedings. The property was purchased by the older sister of Kim Man-bae, the key figure in the Daejang-dong development scandal and the largest shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu Asset Management.
According to the legal community on the 12th, the Seoul Western District Court on the 29th of last month ordered a compulsory auction to begin for the detached house owned by A, Kim Man-bae's older sister and the largest shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu Asset Management.
The creditor that filed for the auction was Geumcheon Credit Union, which reportedly submitted a request for a compulsory real estate auction on the 23rd of last month. Geumcheon Credit Union is the creditor that placed a senior mortgage of 1.56 billion won on the property.
The mortgage was established when A acquired ownership, and the Yeonhui-dong house was part of a joint collateral package.
Meanwhile, Yoon Ki Joong had lived in the house since 1974, and A purchased it in 2019.
