[The Financial News] Virtual idol group PLAVE has entered the U.S. Billboard charts.
According to Billboard charts on the 28th local time, PLAVE's fourth mini album, "Caligo Pt.2," debuted at No. 145 on the Billboard 200, the main album chart, for the week of May 2. It also ranked No. 75 on the Billboard Artist 100.
On the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, several PLAVE songs entered at the same time, including the title track from the album, "Born Savage," as well as "Think I Am," "Hmph!," and "Borrow Your Night."
PLAVE's fourth mini album, "Caligo Pt.2," continues the narrative from "Caligo Pt. 1," which was released in February last year. Shortly after its release on the 13th, the album rose to No. 2 on Melon TOP100, a major domestic streaming chart. It then sold more than 1.25 million copies in its first week, according to Hanteo Chart, setting a new personal best for the group.
Previously, the group's third mini album, "Caligo Pt. 1," and single album "PLBBUU" each surpassed first-week sales of 1.03 million and 1.09 million copies, respectively, making PLAVE the first virtual idol group to become a million-seller.
Meanwhile, PLAVE wrapped up its first Asia tour on a high note last November by selling out every seat at "2025 PLAVE Asia Tour [DASH: Quantum Leap] Encore" at Gocheok Sky Dome.
